为何这个句子:

为何例句中可以用talking,conversation不可以主动talk吧。

1. 主句谓语动词say,若改为一般目前时当然可以,表达一种怎么看。原句用过去时said,也没错,表示一次性的动作,但宾语从句仍然可以用目前时态,即:said that he looks forward to...
【注】在现代英语中,主句谓语动词如果是said,其宾语从句用目前时态的状况,已比较常见。特别said 从句的内容表达一种与目前有关的正常状态。比如:
He said he is a university student now.
She said she expects to meet you.
以上两句,“他目前是大学生”这个事实不受said 影响,“她期待与你见面”也是这样。这个时候,主从句的时态可以不同,不呼应。
第二,look forward to 意为“期待”,既能够表示“动态”,也可以表示“静态”。强调前者意义时,可用进行体;强调后者意义时,就用一般体。比如,以下两句都对:
I am looking forward to see you.
I look forward to see you.
2. 关于talking about,我从外刊上找到了一个类似的例句。在结构上几乎完全一致:

这可能是新闻英语的特征吧:把talking 的动作,转移到“人”的上面(句子的主语是“人”,with sb.也是“人”)。除此之外,再退一步讲,conversation 本身可否赋予“拟人”的使用方法?它自己可否也能“talk about”? 就像The story tells about... 一样呢?—— 这只不过假想,不是结论。
