本短语中的 let go of 应视作完整的及物动词，等于 release，均表“释放”。
理论上，let go of 是由 let your hand go of 演变而成，事实上却只能用 let go of 这个短语。比如：
Let go of my hand, or I'll call the police.
= Release my hand, or I'll call the police.
As soon as the policeman let go of him, the boy ran away.
Don't let go of the rope until I tell you to.
补充：let go of something后面也可以接抽象的事物，of something可以省略。
