China's southernmost province of Hainan has commenced operations of the world's first island-looping high-speed train line.

日前，全球首条环岛高铁线路在国内最南省份的海南全方位贯通了。

这是全球第一条热带区域环岛高铁（island-looping high-speed train in the tropics），使旅客乘高铁环游海南岛成为现实，也标志着中国高铁获得了突破性的进步 （making a major breakthrough），也标志着海南加速驶上一带一路（Belt and Road Initiative）快车道。
