主句表示试验结果在说话时才最后表明是成功的，所以用目前时。期待是过去的，所以as从句用一般过去时。第二句中的which we hadn't expected.中过去完成时为错误。要么把从句改为一般过去时，要么把主句改为一般过去时。过去完成时要表示过去的过去。传统语法把as从句剖析为定语从句。和which一样都是指代主句内容。你看不出指代关系吗？
