老师给了我一个例句说只可以用过去分词表状况，譬如：
I discovered him exhausted.真的想不过来了，帮指点一下。
discover可后接动词不定式、目前分词或形容词作宾补，但不接过去分词作宾补。比如：

discover 也可后接 that 或者 wh- 从句作宾语，that 可省略。比如：

所以：I discovered him finished his homework.（错误）I discovered he had finished his homework.（正确）
