请问老师,为何不及物动词后面能跟宾语从句?
今天在牛津字典看到如下例句。
Does it really matter that who did it ?
It didnt matter that the weather was bad.
不应该是,像know这种及物动词才有资格接宾语从句吗?
I didnt know that the weather was bad.
I really dont know who did it.
为何不及物动词后面能跟宾语从句?
—— 这个问法本身就不成立。记住:不及物动词不可以接宾语,更不可能接宾语从句。
既然这样,大家需要从其他角度来考虑这两个句子:
Does it really matter that who did it ?
It didnt matter that the weather was bad.
matter 用作动词,意为“有关系;非常重要”,是个不及物动词。假如“对某人有关系;非常重要”,那就需要加介词 to,比如:It doesnt matter to me.
以上两句,matter 都没宾语,后面的两个that 从句实质是“主语”,由于是从句太长,大家用形式主语 it 代替,而把它们后置。正常的语序为:
That the weather was bad didnt matter. 天气不好没关系。
