5：1 以色列的长子原是流便。因他污秽了爸爸的床，他长子的名分就归了约瑟。只不过按家谱他不算长子。
Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel， （for he was the firstborn； but， forasmuch as he defiled1 his father's bed， his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel： and the genealogy2 is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
5：2 犹大胜过所有弟兄，君王也是从他而出。长子的名分却归约瑟。
For Judah prevailed above his brethren， and of him came the chief ruler； but the birthright was Joseph's：）
5：3 以色列长子流便的儿子是哈诺，法路，希斯伦，迦米。
The sons， I say， of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were， Hanoch， and Pallu， Hezron， and Carmi.
5：4 约珥的儿子是示玛雅。示玛雅的儿子是歌革。歌革的儿子是示每。
The sons of Joel； Shemaiah his son， Gog his son， Shimei his son，
5：5 示每的儿子是米迦。米迦的儿子是利亚雅。利亚雅的儿子是巴力。
Micah his son， Reaia his son， Baal his son，
5：6 巴力的儿子是备拉。这备拉作流便支派的首领，被亚述王提革拉毗尼色掳去。
Beerah his son， whom Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria carried away captive： he was prince of the Reubenites.
5：7 他的弟兄照着宗族，按着家谱作族长的是耶利，撒迦利雅，比拉。
And his brethren by their families， when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned， were the chief， Jeiel， and Zechariah，
5：8 比拉是亚撒的儿子。亚撒是示玛的儿子。示玛是约珥的儿子。约珥所住的地方是从亚罗珥直到尼波和巴力免，And Bela the son of Azaz， the son of Shema， the son of Joel， who dwelt in Aroer， even unto Nebo and Baalmeon：
5：9 又向东延到幼发拉底河这边的旷野，由于他们在基列地牲畜增多。
And eastward3 he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness4 from the river Euphrates： because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
5：10 扫罗年间，他们与夏甲人争战，夏甲人倒在他们手下，他们就在基列东边的全地，住在夏甲人的帐棚里。
And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites， who fell by their hand： and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
5：11 迦得的子孙在流便对面，住在巴珊地，延到撒迦。
And the children of Gad5 dwelt over against them， in the land of Bashan unto Salcah：
5：12 他们中间有作族长的约珥，有作副族长的沙番，还有雅乃和住在巴珊的沙法。
Joel the chief， and Shapham the next， and Jaanai， and Shaphat in Bashan.
5：13 他们族弟兄是米迦勒，米书兰，示巴，约赖，雅干，细亚，希伯，共七人。
And their brethren of the house of their fathers were， Michael， and Meshullam， and Sheba， and Jorai， and Jachan， and Zia， and Heber， seven.
5：14 这都是亚比孩的儿子。亚比孩是户利的儿子。户利是耶罗亚的儿子。耶罗亚是基列的儿子。基列是米迦勒的儿子。米迦勒是耶示筛的儿子。耶示筛是耶哈多的儿子。耶哈多是布斯的儿子。
These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri， the son of Jaroah， the son of Gilead， the son of Michael， the son of Jeshishai， the son of Jahdo， the son of Buz；
5：15 还有古尼的孙子，押比叠的儿子亚希。这都是作族长的。
Ahi the son of Abdiel， the son of Guni， chief of the house of their fathers.
5：16 他们住在基列与巴珊和巴珊的乡村，并沙仑的郊野，直到四围的交界。
And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan， and in her towns， and in all the suburbs of Sharon， upon their borders.
5：17 这类人在犹大王约坦并在以色列王耶罗波安年间，都载入家谱。
All these were reckoned by genealogies6 in the days of Jotham king of Judah， and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
5：18 流便人，迦得人，和玛拿西半支派的人，能拿盾牌和刀剑，拉弓射箭，出征善战的勇士共有四万四千七百六十名。
The sons of Reuben， and the Gadites， and half the tribe of Manasseh， of valiant7 men， men able to bear buckler and sword， and to shoot with bow， and skilful8 in war， were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore， that went out to the war.
5：19 他们与夏甲人，伊突人，拿非施人，挪答人争战。
And they made war with the Hagarites， with Jetur， and Nephish， and Nodab.
5：20 他们得了神的帮忙，夏甲人和跟随夏甲的人都交在他们手中。由于他们在阵上呼求神，倚赖神，神就应允他们。
And they were helped against them， and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand， and all that were with them： for they cried to God in the battle， and he was intreated of them； because they put their trust in him.
5：21 他们掳掠了夏甲人的牲畜，有骆驼五万，羊二十五万，驴二千。又有人十万。
And they took away their cattle； of their camels fifty thousand， and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand， and of asses9 two thousand， and of men an hundred thousand.
5：22 敌人被杀仆倒的甚多，由于这争战是出乎神。他们就住在敌人的地上，直到被掳的时候。
For there fell down many slain10， because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity11.
5：23 玛拿西半支派的人住在那地。从巴珊延到巴力黑们，示尼珥与黑门山。
And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land： they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir， and unto mount Hermon.
5：24 他们的族长是以弗，以示，以列，亚斯列，耶利米，何达威雅，雅叠，都是大能的勇士，是有名的人，也是作族长的。
And these were the heads of the house of their fathers， even Epher， and Ishi， and Eliel， and Azriel， and Jeremiah， and Hodaviah， and Jahdiel， mighty12 men of valour， famous men， and heads of the house of their fathers.
5：25 他们得罪了他们列祖的神，随从那地之民的神行邪淫。这民就是神在他们面前所除灭的。
And they transgressed13 against the God of their fathers， and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land， whom God destroyed before them.
5：26 故此，以色列的神激动亚述王普勒和亚述王提革拉毗尼色的心，他们就把吕便人，迦得人，玛拿西半支派的人掳到哈腊，哈博，哈拉与歌散河边，直到今日还在那里。
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria， and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria， and he carried them away， even the Reubenites， and the Gadites， and the half tribe of Manasseh， and brought them unto Halah， and Habor， and Hara， and to the river Gozan， unto this day.
